Outstanding Staff Award Nomination 2024
OCTSA Outstanding Staff Award: The Office, Clerical, and Technical Staff Assembly (OCTSA) will select two staff members to receive the Outstanding Staff Awards.
Purpose: The OCTSA has created this annual award to recognize two outstanding employees from among the office, clerical, and technical staff of The University of Alabama whose exceptional ability, performance, and attitude have advanced the mission of The University of Alabama.
Decision: The OCTSA Professional Development Committee will review and administer the policies and procedures related to the award and will choose the recipients at the end of the nomination process. The committee reserves the right to withhold the award in any given year.
Nominations: Nominations will be accepted from the administration, faculty, and staff of The University of Alabama. Nominations must be submitted via the nomination form. Anonymous nominations will not be considered. The deadline for nominations is April 5th, 2024.
Eligibility: All permanent full-time office, clerical, and technical staff members (non-exempt hourly) of The University of Alabama with at least 5 consecutive years of service at the University are eligible for the award, except those currently serving on the OCTSA Professional Development Committee.
Award Presentation: The awards will be presented Tuesday, May 14th, 2024 at the OCTSA Awards Reception at 3 pm in the Gorgas Library Camellia Room.
Award Criteria: The nominee must be office, clerical, or technical staff (non-exempt hourly). Faculty and professional staff are not eligible for this award. The nominee must have at least 5 years of consecutive service at The University of Alabama. The nominee should be someone who exhibits outstanding performance in job duties, an exceptional spirit of service, and a strong desire to further the mission of The University of Alabama.
